Presidential candidate Tatsiana Karatkevich filed a complaint against Alyaksandr Lukashenka.

In her opinion, her rival in the election race is using the symbols that generally promote the idea of ​​elections in his campaign. In accordance with the election law, it may be considered as taking advantages of incumbency, she said. In particular, she referred to te campaign’s logo that resembles a bird in colours of the Belarusian flag.

However, the Central Election Commission (CEC) failed to take the candidate’s arguments into consideration: her appeal has been dismissed. As Alyaksandr Lukashenka refused to make a TV address to the Belarusian nation, Tatsiana Karatkevich asked for using his airtime, but this request was declined as well.
